Privacy Policy for CoinLinker

CoinLinker is a Chrome extension that scans posts on x.com for Solana (SOL) and Binance Smart Chain (BSC/BNB) token addresses, converts them into quick links, and displays token information via public APIs. This Privacy Policy explains what information the extension accesses, how it is used, and how it is stored.

1. Information the Extension Accesses

CoinLinker reads only the visible page content on x.com in order to:

• Detect Solana and BSC token addresses appearing in posts.
• Display token information and images when users hover a detected address.

The extension does not access your passwords, cookies, browsing history, financial information, or any private account data.

2. Information Sent to Third-Party APIs

To display token information, the extension queries external public services. These requests may include:

• The token address detected on the page

These requests are made only for the purpose of retrieving token metadata, images, and pricing information.

The extension may contact the following third-party services:

• Dexscreener (market data for BSC tokens)
• Jupiter Lite (token metadata for Solana tokens)
• IPFS gateways (token images)
• four.meme (optional additional metadata, if available)

Standard network metadata (such as IP address) may be visible to these services as part of a normal HTTPS request. CoinLinker does not intercept or store this information.

3. Information Stored on Your Device

The extension stores the following in chrome.storage.local:

• Token metadata cache (e.g., name, image URL, symbol)
• User settings (preferred site: Axiom, GMGN, or Padre)

This information never leaves your device unless the APIs described in Section 2 must be contacted to retrieve token data.

4. No Personal Data Collection

CoinLinker does not collect, store, transmit, or sell:

• Personal identifying information
• Credentials or authentication tokens
• Browser history
• Unique user IDs
• Advertising or tracking data

No analytics or telemetry is embedded in the extension.

5. Data Retention

Cached token metadata stored on your device may persist until:

• You clear Chrome extension storage, or
• The cache expires and is refreshed automatically

No data is retained on external servers.

6. Security

CoinLinker operates entirely within the browser sandbox and does not execute remote code. All external communication is performed via direct HTTPS calls to public APIs listed above.

7. Third-Party Links

The extension may link to external token explorers such as Axiom.trade, GMGN.ai, and Padre.gg when the user clicks a detected address. These websites have their own privacy policies, and CoinLinker is not responsible for their content or behavior.

8. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as the extension evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top of this document will reflect these changes.
